O.J. on O.J.
This project is all about transitions. Because of that I had decided to do an evolutionary process of the story of O.J. Simpson; from the good, to the bad, and beyond. He is quite an interesting character. It all starts out with him as a football player, then goes through his first big ordeal of him being accused of murder. It then cuts right over to him writing his book ("If I Did It"), and all the controversy that surrounded it. Then goes right into his latest (but probably not last) big scandal of stealing sports memorabilia that he claimed was his. It then will loop itself around to the beginning as to tie in one last transition.
I used a sequential pattern of color throughout the piece simply to coincide with the theme of transitions. (And it would make Ms. Abijanac feel like a proud mother who's son just won the school spelling bee.) There is no secret meaning behind it. The graphic look of the images is simply my personal stylization of the characters and forms. The music is very simple, yet adds an eerie feeling to the animation that i feel improves it. The music along with the bright colors and the subject matter is a unique juxtaposition that is meant to be sightly comical, yet mixed in with a healthy scoop of creepiness.
